"When you take AOE damage, a portion of the damage is also converted into extra energy. (You still take full damage)."
Potential Energy converts some of the damage the player receives from splash damage weapons, not automatics, into energy. The player still takes full damage. This is a Secondary Perk.

Upgrade 3: Now works on fall damage
