"The BXT1 Rifle fires an instantaneous supersonic rounds. The weapon itself generates the charge over 4 seconds and as little as 2 seconds if moving over 100. No energy is consumed in the process."
The BXT1 Rifle is one of the two sniper rifle variations in Tribes: Ascend, and is a default primary weapon for the Light Armor. The BXT1 Rifle requires the user to zoom in before firing the weapon. While zoomed in, the weapon charges up; the longer the weapon is charged, the more damage it does. It takes 4 seconds to fully charge the rifle, if the player is movinger over 100 sanics, charge time is reduced to 2 seconds. When this weapon is equipped, it locks an Energy pack in your pack slot.

The BXT1 Rifle is a hitscan weapon, meaning that as long as the crosshair is on the target, it will hit instantly.
Trivia
- Internally, the BXT1 Rifle is named the Sniper Rifle.
- There is currently an aimbot out that can be used with this weapon because it is hitscan. Another hack uses this weapon to increase a targeted player's speed, ramming them into a wall, usually killing them.
