The Compact Nitron is an unlockable belt item for the Pathfinder. The Compact Nitron is a variation of the Impact Nitron, the only difference being that it has a smaller splash radius, and the player can carry one extra. While the in-game description says that it has less knockback than the Impact Nitron, it does not, it is the same.

Inheritence

The Compact Nitron has a 60% speed inheritence when it is thrown. The base speed for the grenade is 50 m/s, with a maximum speed of 50 m/s, regardless of the inherited speed, and a terminal velocity of 140 m/s.

Kick Strength

The Compact Nitron has an impulse strength of 600 m/s applied to players hit by the grenade, and an additional 20 m/s strength impulse applied if it kills the player. Due to the high strength, it is commonly used for grenade jumping, allowing for greater speeds to be attained.
