The Thumper is one of the three Thumper variations in Tribes: Ascend, and is an unlockable primary weapon for the Technician. Despite there being only three variations, the Thumper class weapons are the most commonly used weapon, used more than the Spinfusors, which have eleven variations. With the addition of the Thumper, the Technician changed from a support role to an offensive role.

Inheritence
The Thumper has a 50% speed inheritence on fired projectiles. The base speed for the projectile is 70.4 m/s, with a maximum speed of 160 m/s, regardless of the inherited speed, and a terminal velocity of 140 m/s.
Kick Strength
The Thumper has an impulse strength of 1,700 m/s applied to players hit by its projectile.
