"Instantly vanish without waiting the normal reveal time from taking damage or firing a weapon. In addition, remain in stealth for 2 seconds even if you take damage. Firing a weapon will still break stealth."
The Smoke Grenade is an unlockable belt item for the Infiltrator. This grenade instantly cloaks the player for 2 seconds, even if damaged. However, if the player fires a weapon, the player will become visible.

The Smoke Grenade has a 100% speed inheritence when it is thrown. The base speed for the grenade is 0.4 m/s, with a maximum speed of 140 m/s, regardless of the inherited speed, and a terminal velocity of 140 m/s. This is one of the few items that has 100% inheritence.

The Smoke Grenade does not apply an impulse to players.
