The Thumper DX is one of the three Thumper variations in Tribes: Ascend, and is an unlockable secondary weapon for the Soldier. It has a slightly smaller damage radius compared to the Thumper D, but it does more damage. Despite there being only three variations, the Thumper class weapons are the most commonly used weapon, used more than the Spinfusors, which have eleven variations.

Inheritence

The Thumper DX has a 50% speed inheritence on fired projectiles. The base speed for the projectile is 70.4 m/s, with a maximum speed of 160 m/s, regardless of the inherited speed, and a terminal velocity of 140 m/s.

Kick Strength

The Thumper DX has an impulse strength of 1,400 m/s applied to players hit by its projectile.
