In Tribes: Ascend there are 5 different base assets available, ranging from defensive to supportive. Primary assets can be upgraded 4 times at the cost of 1,500 credits for the first two upgrades, and 2,000 credits for the last two.

Primary Assets

Base Turret

Generator

The Generator provides power to all of the other base assets, and also powers deployables and shields. This asset was also going to play a major role in the Siege game mode that was not released. When powered, the generator has two vertical bars that move left and right, and the generator glows blue. After the generator's health drops below 50%, it will start to glow red. When it reaches critical damage, will start sounding an alert. This asset can be upgraded to provide more health.

Base Turret

There is only one type of base turret in Ascend, and it is a Heavy Turret. When powered, and in working order, will shoot enemies and defend its base. The turret is shielded and will not take damage from most weapons, unless it is under a barrage. Once the shield is overwhelmed, it will take damage. This asset can be upgraded to improve its fire rate and response time.

Radar Sensor

The Radar Sensor detects enemy players and shows their IFF to all players within range. The sensor itself has a maximum detection range of 440 meters. This asset can be upgraded to increase its range from 200 meters to 440 meters.

Stations

Inventory Station

In order to switch armors or resupply, a player must use an Inventory Station. These are scattered about the map, and can only be used by their respective team. Inventories are indestructible and will only function while the generator is online.

Vehicle Station

Vehicle stations allow players to purchase vehicles using credits earned in the match. This station will only function while the generator is online. If a player is navigating the menu when the generator goes offline, they will not be able to purchase a vehicle.

Capture & Hold

Control Point

Neutral Control Point

In C&H, there are control points that can be captured by players to earn points. Once a control point is captured, it will show a hologram of the team's logo.

Deployables

Drop Jammer

The Drop Jammer is the default pack for the Sentinel. Once the Drop Jammer is deployed, it hides teammates within range of the jammer, from displaying on enemy HUDs. It also changes the players' skin to a static field, making the player more difficult to see. It will also disrupt cloaked enemies, making them visible.

EXR Turret

The EXR Turret is a deployable turret that will automatically shoot at enemies once it has locked onto them, firing a dumb missile, which does not home in on the target. In order for the EXR Turret to function, the generator must be operational.

Force Field

The Force field is the default pack for the Doombringer. In order for the Force field to function, the generator must be operational. The Force field completely stops all projectiles, even those from friendlies. However, players are able to walk through the force field; friendlies will be unharmed, enemies will be damaged.

Light Turret

The Light Turret is a deployable turret that will automatically shoot at enemies once it has locked onto them. In order for the Light Turret to function, the generator must be operational. While it only deals 65 damage, it has a high rate of fire.

Repair Kit

The Repair Kit is a small deployable that repairs nearby assets.

Unreleased Assets

Deployable Generator

Deployable Generator

In the game files, and in the early alpha, there was a deployable generator that looked like a boombox. On the side of the deployable was a bar that would go up and down, and the speakers would move in and out.
