The Thumper D is one of the three Thumper variations in Tribes: Ascend, and is the default secondary weapon for the Soldier. Despite there being only three variations, the Thumper class weapons are the most commonly used weapon, used more than the Spinfusors, which have 13 variations.

Inheritence

The Thumper has a 50% speed inheritence on fired projectiles. The base speed for the projectile is 70.4 m/s, with a maximum speed of 160 m/s, regardless of the inherited speed, and a terminal velocity of 140 m/s.

Kick Strength

The Thumper D has an impulse strength of 70,000 uu applied to players hit by its projectile, and a multiplier of 1.2 for self-inflicted damage.
