"Fires a charged round that sticks to walls and releases multiple shockwaves. Detonates instantly in a focused blast if it hits an enemy. +100% vehicle damage."
The Gladiator is an unlockable specialty weapon for the Heavy Armor that fires an explosive charge that sticks to whatever it hits. If the player gets a direct on an enemy, it will explode doing more damage. If the player does not get a direct hit, the charge will explode three times, each time it explodes, the blast will get weaker, and the damage radius will get larger. If you can get the Gladiator to hit a player with all three shockwaves, it will deal more damage than a direct hit.
Below are the damage values for the Gladiator. If you stick the projectile to a vehicle or base asset, it will emit three shockwaves, unlike on players, where it will only explode once. To calculate the damage for a direct hit on a vehicle or base asset in the table below, take the direct hit column and add it to the 2nd and 3rd explosions to get the total damage dealt.
|Direct Hit||1st Explosion||2nd Explosion||3rd Explosion||Total Damage (Direct Hit)||Total Damage|
|Damage Radius||4 meters||4 meters||8 meters||11 meters|
The Gladiator has a 50% speed inheritence on fired projectiles. The base speed for the projectile is 76.4 m/s, with a maximum speed of 160 m/s, regardless of the inherited speed.
The Gladiator has an impulse strength of 85,000 uu applied to players hit by the first explosion, 70,000 uu for the second explosion, and 20,000 uu for the last explosion.
- Internally, the Gladiator is named the Spike Launcher.
